1:00PM Networking / 2:00 - 5:00PPM Seminar, Q&A and “Mystery Pitch”

Rona Edwards and Monika Skerbelis, authors of “I Liked It, Didn’t Love It: Screenplay Development from the Inside Out”, together have over 25 years of experience in the film industry, having worked in development for major studios (Universal, 20th Century Fox, Paramount), production companies (Michael Phillips Productions, John Larroquette’s Port Street Films), and have had movies produced and/or in development with VH1, ABC, USA, HBO, Lifetime, CBS, Warner Bros., and Ed Pressman, to name a few.  Monika worked in the story department of Paramount for more than 15 years.  Rona was VP Creative Affairs at John Larroquette’s company and has seven movies to her credit.  Currently, they have set up a series of movies at Lifetime based on books they optioned which are expected to air in 2009.

For the past nine years, they have been teaching a very successful course, “Introduction to Feature Film Development” at UCLA Extension on campus and online, and another online course titled “Story Development Process in the Entertainment Industry” at Riverside Community College. They also taught a Basic Screenwriting Fundamentals class on campus at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts

This past year they founded ESE FILM WORKSHOPS ONLINE, a global film school in which they offer such courses as “Creating A Production Company,” “Maneuvering Film Festivals,” “Finding & Developing New Ideas,” and “Screenplay Development From the Inside Out” in a user friendly environment. Just ‘Click, Type, Download and Read.”

Copies of their book will be available for purchase and autographs.
