FEATURED MEMBER - MARYANN RIDINI SPENCER

Maryann Ridini Spencer is President of Ridini Entertainment Corporation (REC),  www.RidiniEntertainment.com, a Public Relations/Talent Management/Film & TV Production Company, founded in 1990.  REC has offices in Los Angeles and Palm Desert, Ca.

REC’s clients have included:  E! Entertainment Television, The NBC Agency, The United States Olympic Committee (working with Olympic athletes and hopefuls in all sports), Weller/Grossman Productions, Strand Home Video, Anchor Bay Entertainment, Concorde-New Horizons, Corp., Pacific Title & Art Studio, and many others. 

Before founding REC, Maryann held the position of Vice President of Publicity, Advertising & Promotions at Stephen. J. Cannell Productions, spearheading network television campaigns for such shows as: “Wiseguy” (CBS), “Hunter” (NBC), “21 Jump Street” (Fox), “Booker” (Fox), “Sonny Spoon” (NBC), “Top of the Hill” (ABC), as well as numerous MOW’s.  For Paramount Television, she also supervised the national and international publicity on-location for the “Miss Universe,“ “Miss U.S.A.“ and “Miss Teen U.S.A.“ Pageants.

Other PR campaigns helmed by Maryann include the launch of the now legendary, “Star Trek:  The Next Generation” (Paramount), “Wheel of Fortune” (Merv Griffin Enterprises), “Top Cops” (CBS), and “American Gladiators” (Samuel Goldwyn Television).  Working with Frank Liberman & Associates, Maryann also handled the personal campaigns for such celebrities as:   Bob Hope, Jack Klugman, Richard Simmons, Steve Allen, Jack Jones, Phyllis Diller, etc. 

In 1992, Maryann became a member of The Talent Managers Association (www.talentmanagers.org).  A sampling of REC’s management clients have included such performers as: Eric McCormack (“Street Justice,ԓWill & Grace”), Lochyln Munro (“Scary Movie,” “White Chicks”), Joe Viterelli (“Shallow Hal,” “Analyze This”) and Dr. Dre (“The Hustle,” “Who’s The Man?”).

Maryann, a member of the Producer’s Guild of America (www.producersguild.org), is an accomplished writer and TV/Film Producer.  She has served as co-executive producer on the award winning “Falling Fire” (The Movie Channel, 1998), “Future Fear” (Showtime Networks, 1999) and “Shepherd” (Showtime Networks, 1999).  She also produced “Convict 762” with EGM Films International (The Sci Fi Channel, 1998).  All films were distributed as theatricals internationally. 

For three years, Maryann worked as a producer/writer/director at Cable News Network’s Los Angeles Bureau covering entertainment on location in Hollywood and producing “People Now” and “The Mike Douglas Show.” She was also a senior producer/writer on the health & fitness series, “Alive & Well,“ for Dave Bell Productions/USA Networks.

As a screenwriter, Maryann’s credits include adaptations of James Michael Pratt’s best-selling novels, “The Last Valentine” (upcoming TV movie special), “The Good Heart” and “Ticket Home.Ԡ She also co-created and co-wrote, the murder mystery,  “Harrington House,“ optioned as an MOW.   In addition, Maryann has written for numerous publications including:  Los Angeles Magazine, California Magazine, Soap Opera Digest, Hi-Def.   She is also a regular contributor to the Desert Sun Magazine Group and seminar instructor for The Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center.

Maryann, a multi-academic scholarship winner, received her BA in Communications from Hofstra University (Hempstead, NY).  At Hofstra, Maryann served as a student teacher and supervised the college’s color and black and white studios serving as Program Director for their local television station.
