Featured Member: Pattie Daly Caruso

One of the best-known women in the Coachella Valley, Pattie has been an actress, dancer, writer, producer and currently hosts her own television talk show.

Pattie has been an actress, dancer, writer, producer and currently hosts her own television talk show but says her greatest, and most important, job has been parenting two fabulous kids! She had her first radio show "Pat's Platter Party" on an ABC affiliate when she was seventeen. Years later, after graduating from Pasadena Playhouse, she had her first television show on a Fox affiliate. Today she is President of PDC Entertainment and hosts "Valley Views" for Time Warner TV 10. She covers local events, celebrities, and people throughout the Coachella Valley, Monday at 9am, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday at 8:30pm. Pattie is also an entertainment reporter for "Eye On the Desert" on CBS 2. Pattie has hosted many events here including "It's Everyone's Fight" for the American Cancer Society and "Holiday Voices" for the Eisenhower Medical Center Auxiliary. She is the spokesperson for the Ronald McDonald House and recently received the acclaimed National Communicator Award for outstanding programs on "Valley Views." She also founded and chairs "Media Mavens"- Ladies of Radio, Television, Print, PR & Marketing in the Palm Springs/Coachella Valley area. Pattie was named "Desert Woman of the Year" in 2002, "First Lady of the Desert" in 1998, "Television Woman of the Year" in 1997 and was honored to receive the most prestigious Athena Award in 2003. She was featured on MTV's "Celebrity Moms" and ESPN's Jimmy V.Celebrity Golf Classic. On Mother's Day 2004, Pattie was one of David Letterman's "TopTen Moms" and recently, she was a recipient of Lifetime Television's 2004 Hero award for her commitment to raising awareness and research for breast cancer. Her nickname is "Sparky" - her favorite color is red - and she loves sunrises in Palm Desert and sunsets in Santa Monica where she has a second home. Pattie lives at Ironwood Country Club with her retired husband, Richard. Her daughter, Quinn, is General Manager/Vice President of Hill & Knowlton Public Relations in San Francisco and her son, Carson, hosts "Last Call with Carson Daly" for NBC. They were on the cover of Palm Springs Life when he hosted "Total Request Live" for MTV. Pattie is intensely proud of her children and especially thrilled to be the doting grandmother of Quinn and Joel's beautiful daughter Jaden Patricia. She always sees the glass as half full, never half empty, and says at the end of her show- "Yesterday's history, tomorrow's a mystery, today's a gift and that's why we call it the present - LIVE IN THE NOW MOMENT!"
