TV Host: Conversations with Gloria Greer, Classic Conversations, Exploring the Arts
A respected and honored journalist for 40 years, she currently edits The Social Life section of Palm Springs Life magazine, and hosts/produces three television shows for PBS in Southern California: Conversations With Gloria Greer, Exploring The Arts, and Classic Conversations.
For over 25 years she was entertainment editor of the NBCTV affiliate, KMIR TV 6. She established, edited and published Sand-To-Sea magazine and was a columnist and feature writer for the Press-Enterprise for over 20 years, was special correspondent for Newsweek Magazine, Town and Country Magazine including a 23-page by-line spread on the Coachella Valley, and wrote a weekly column for Daily Variety. The Associated Press distributed her feature stories world-wide, and one of her magazine stories was introduced into the Congressional Record by the Speaker of the House. Her numerous honors include: induction into the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Silver Circle; Athena Award from the Palm Springs Chamber; and Patriot of the Year by the Assn. of Naval Aviation.
She was the 1st journalist to receive a star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars. She currently is on the Palm Springs Air Museums Board of Directors, is founding president of ACT for MS, founding president of the desert chapter of Childhelp USA, founding member of the Palm Springs Chapter of Natl Charity League; served on the founding Board of Friends of the Philharmonic, on the Campaign Committee of the Childrens Discovery Museum and advisory board of the Junior League.
