NEW TELEVISION SHOW SPOTLIGHTS INDEPENDENT SHORT FILMS

LEANNA BONAMICI, PSWIFT Founder, Independent Producer Film, TV and Video, is pleased to announce her SHORTS SHOWCASE will now be airing on KVCR (local PBS station) on Fridays at 10:30pm, and Saturday evening (early Sunday) at 1:30am beginning in November 2011, broadcasting to 18 million homes.

The show is in its 3rd year, and will also be available on www.shortsshowcase.com.

SHORTS SHOWCASE features short films from all over the world, plus industry interviews and production tips and education. Films that do not make it into the shows - will be available on the website in the Marketplace.

Viewers can vote online for their favorites - twice each year there will be a “Top Picks” feature at The Camelot Theatre. The audience votes for their favorites, and winners will receive prizes (last year it was Final Draft software). This season she is building this into a fundraiser to provide local scholarships to charities like: PS Cultural Center, PSWIFT BookPALS, and PSWIFT Education Committee.

Leanna is hard at work putting together the first 13 episodes. PLEASE send her your short films for consideration. Contact: leanna@imagelab.tv Created, Written, Produced and Directed by Leanna, the show features short films from all over the world. Special submission rates are offered for students and WIF members worldwide.

Watch the show – vote for your favorites. Many of the films selected for broadcast have the opportunity to submit for regional Emmy Awards consideration, and are eligible to win a grand prize of studio time and cash toward their next project.
